The steps in the galvanizing process are as follows:
1. The steel is cleaned in a degreasing solution.
2. After cleaning, the steel is pickled by being immersed in a vat of diluted hot sulfuric acid.
3. The steel is then treated in a flux bath of an aqueous solution (typically zinc-ammonium chloride).
4. Post-flux, the steel is galvanized via immersion in a vat of molten zinc.
5. Finally, the steel is inspected for coating consistency and completeness.
